Blue Heron Cove is the imaginery island where you will find The Olde Fishing Village. Soon you will be able to visit through the book The Olde Fishing Village at Blue Heron Cove by author Abigail Sands.
The fictional characters Abigail and Pap Wayne bought the island, piece by piece, over a number of decades. Their goal was to create their vision, the fictional town called The Olde Fishing Village.
Pampas grass sentinels, groupings of pilings and a handpainted welcome sign mark the entry to The Olde Fishing Village. When you enter the fictional village, you will step back in time to another era. Quaint cedar shake and weathered clapboard frame houses abound, especially in nautical blues trimmed in white and the grays of old cedar. Wooden boardwalks lead you from piers, wharves and harbors to beautiful, sunlit, sandy beaches. The walkways will take you past the Beacon Chapel and lead you to a shopping district full of unique shops overflowing with hand crafted items of bygone days. We invite you to take a walk through the residential area which is full of cottages with wide front porches, white picket fences and the evidence of many green thumbs. Circle back to the waterfront and watch the native watermen and fishermen while you enjoy a meal. Ponder how many shells contributed to the miles of sandy oyster shell paths and roads. We look forward to seeing you there.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
Walk with the characters in Abigail's books and discover with them the destinies which God has planned for their futures if they will follow his leading.
It’s comforting to remember this hope is always there, ready when we are.
Where would I be without the hope we have in Christ? I certainly would be adrift, lost at sea. Thanking God tonight for the hope that is in our Savior. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!
I love it that you used the Anchor as a sign of hope, what a great way to bring forward the thought of hope. In the name of the most high – amen! I wish you a Very Merry Christmas!
